Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe Perfect for Home Cooks

This Crispy Chilli Chicken Recipe offers a delightful crunch and a spicy kick, making it an ideal dish for festive gatherings or cozy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g chicken thighs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Chopped spring onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, salt, and garlic powder for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In one bowl, combine all-purpose flour, corn starch, paprika, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
  5. Coat each marinated chicken piece in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  7. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Prepare the sauce by heating sesame oil in a pan, then adding honey and chopped green chillies.
  9. Toss the crispy chicken pieces in the sauce until evenly coated.
  10. Garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
