  • 2 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 batch of homemade brownies about 9 ½ x 9 ½ pan
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Prepare the brownies and let them cool completely.
  2. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  3. Dice the strawberries and mix with a tablespoon of sugar (optional).
  4. Cut the cooled brownies into cubes.
  5. Begin layering the trifle: brownies, whipped cream, strawberries, and repeat.
  6. Chill the assembled trifle for at least 1 hour before serving.
