Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken breasts by pounding them to an even thickness.
  3. Set up three bowls: one for flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dipping into the egg, then covering with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and pan-fry the chicken.
  6. Place the cooked chicken in a baking dish and cover each piece with marinara sauce.
  7. Top each piece with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then bake.
  8. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
